This is looking like a bad year for normal dudes obsessed with semi-indie starlet/singers and normal ladies obsessed with semi-famous troubadours troubled by the world at large. First Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel. Now Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore, as E! reports. It's official: getting married is the new breaking up. Anyone who subscribes to Sufjan Beat shouldn't be terribly surprised by the engagement-- Moore was seen in many a candid photo over the last few weeks on Ryan's weblog (which seems to be down at the moment...). And, thanks to our BFFs at E! Online, we know the couple have been seeing each other on and off since December 2007. So, yeah...good luck! We're getting everyone in the office to sign a Happy Engagement card right now. There's a cartoon koala on it.As if on cue, Ryan Adams just released a Valentine's Day EP dubbed Extra Cheese on iTunes featuring six of his most intimate tunes along with one new intimate tune. Ryan may be settling down, but he'll still cause a classic-rock ruckus on tour with the Cardinals through March. Watch for Gwyneth-style side stage spottings. U.S. dates ahead: read more
