Watch the ‘Avengers’ cast cover Billy Joel on the ‘Tonight Show’

The parody song ended with a tribute to late Marvel boss Stan Lee

The cast of Avengers: Endgame have delivered a spoof take on a Billy Joel classic for The Tonight Show.

Stars of the new film, including Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, and Karen Gillan, took part in the parody song, changing the lyrics of ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ to be about the Marvel superhero gang.

Rather than just singing the track in the studio, the cover was presented as if the actors were singing from comic panels between shots from previous MCU movies. At the end, the panels merged together to form a sweet tribute to late Marvel boss Stan Lee. You can watch it below now.

Avengers: Endgame premiered in Los Angeles last night. The film will be released in cinemas tomorrow (April 25) in the UK.

In a five-star review, NME said the film could be “the best comic book movie ever.” “There really is very little that could be improved about Endgame,” reviewer Olly Richards said. “It is an astonishing action movie, with a final hour that keeps ratcheting up the crowd-pleasing sequences in a mega-battle filled with so many characters that we should probably take a moment to give thanks to the poor people who had to coordinate the schedules of countless A-listers.”

Some early viewers have been disappointed, however, by the lack of a post-credits scene. Such scenes usually give hints for future films, but, with the current MCU generation ending with Endgame, there isn’t much to tease.

However, fans have reported the sound of “metal works” appearing as the Marvel logo is shown after the credits, comparing it to the tolling of a bell or Tony Stark working on his Iron Man suit.
