Killswitch Engage confirm new album will arrive in the autumn

"Now you know"

Killswitch Engage have revealed they will be releasing their new album this autumn.

The metalcore band last released an LP in 2016 with ‘Incarnate’, which was their seventh studio album.

A post to the band’s official Instagram, captioned “Now you know”, last week (April 19) showed a banner outside the Hollywood Palladium that read “New Album Out This Fall”. They followed it up with a similar post on their Twitter account, which you can see below.

In June last year, Killswitch confirmed they had signed record deals with Metal Blade Records in the USA and Sony Music for Nations in the UK, before telling fans in December that work on their upcoming record had been completed.

News also circulated last year that ex-singer Howard Jones – who fronted the band between 2002-2012 – had teamed up with Killswitch for a track which featured dual vocals from both him and Jesse Leach, the band’s current lead vocalist (who was originally replaced by Jones after he left in 2002).

Jones also joined Killswitch on stage at a pair of London shows at The O2 last year. Whether he will feature on any more recorded output – be that on the band’s new album or any standalone material – remains to be seen.

Killswitch Engage are currently touring the USA with metal compatriots Parkway Drive, after a successful run of shows in the UK earlier this year.
