"We're gonna be talking about [their] generation and ours all at the same time."

Liam Gallagher has revealed that he will be supporting The Who on tour.

When asked by a fan on Twitter if he was planning to tour in America, Gallagher replied that he would be supporting The Who in October.

The Who’s October dates include planned performances in San Fransisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle.

Gallagher added “we’re gonna be talking about [their] generation and ours all at the same time.”

He also addressed rumours that he was unhappy about his Pretty Green clothing brand being sold to JD Sports. The brand, which was set up by the former Oasis and Beady Eye singer in 2009, was purchased by the high street giant after administrators were called in last month.

The fashion label’s challenges were blamed on tough high street conditions and the knock-on effect of House of Fraser falling into administration last year. It’s believed that House of Fraser owed £500,000 to Pretty Green when the retail giant collapsed.

Gallagher said: “News reaches me on the cross that I’m app disappointed that my pretty green is bought out by JD Sports not true I’m into it.”

In other news, last month Gallagher unveiled the first trailer for ‘As It Was’ – a documentary that captures his rise as a solo star.

Due to hit cinemas on June 7, the film gives unprecedented on stage and backstage access to a camera crew to tell his story during his last headline tour for debut album ‘As You Were‘.
