Billie Eilish has recalled the moment Paul McCartney FaceTimed with her parents – check out the video below.

The Californian artist, who released her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ last week, made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday (April 1). Taking to the stage to perform her track ‘When The Party’s Over’, the 17-year-old also spoke of impressing her mum and dad by rubbing shoulders with some of their favourite acts.

With Eilish’s fan Dave Grohl in the audience for the chat, the singer explained: “I feel like recently I’ve met a lot of people that my parents few up as fans of… you know, that’s no disrespect to your age…Dave.”

Remembering the time she met Beatles legend McCartney over the phone, she said: “I was in a meeting with Stella McCartney and she FaceTimed her dad, who is Paul McCartney! My mom cried, my dad cried.”

Offering another “unreal” moment from her career so far, Eilish revealed that Spice Girls‘ Mel C once attended one of her shows.

“In London, Sporty Spice came backstage,” she said. “When I was growing up, we would watch Spice World. I watched that movie, like, 40 times.”

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish recently discussed a special immersive experience celebrating the arrival of her first record. “I wanted it to literally be like an exhibit, a museum, a place to smell and hear and feel,” she said of the event that allowed fans to interact with her songs.

In other news, Eilish has spoken out on the glamorisation of drugs, while revealing that she’s never indulged in illegal substances. “I don’t want my friends to die any more,” she said.
