Chase & Status plan to pay tribute to the late Keith Flint during their newly announced Snowbombing Festival takeover next month.
The Prodigy frontman passed away earlier this month after taking his own life at his Essex home. He was 49.
Flint’s life and career in music will be celebrated by Chase & Status during their ‘RTRN II Jungle’ evening takeover at the Mayrhofen, Austria festival Snowbombing, which will take place between April 8-13. The Prodigy had been due to headline the Friday night of the festival (April 12) this year.
London duo Chase & Status will now curate “a unique evening full of unmissable performances” on the Friday, with the staging of their ”RTRN II Jungle’ event set to support the mental health charity CALM.
The Forest Stage will be headlined by a DJ set from Chase & Status, with the likes of SASASAS, Special Request, Channel One and Brockie And Det all set to perform.
In a statement, Snowbombing said of Flint’s band: “The Prodigy could never be replaced [as headliners], as one of the greatest bands in the world who have graced our forest stage with some of the most electric and unforgettable performances that will live on in our minds, hearts and Snowbombing history forever.”
