Vampire Weekend announce new 2019 UK tour

They're heading back to our shores...

Vampire Weekend have announced further shows in the UK later this year, in support of their forthcoming album ‘Father of The Bride’.

The New York rockers will call at Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London in November this year, marking their first full UK tour in six years.

Check out the dates in full below, ahead of tickets going on sale next Friday (March 22) at 10am.

NOVEMBER 2019
7 – Usher Hall, Edinburgh
8 – Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
11 – Birmingham Academy, Birmingham
13 – Alexandra Palace, London

The full tour comes after Vampire Weekend confirmed that they will return to London later this month for a string of intimate shows.

In January, the band shared the first two tracks from ‘Father Of The Bride’ . At the time, they promised a regular release of singles leading up to the record.

After releasing ‘Harmony Hall’ and ‘2021’, they followed it with ‘Sunflower’, which features The Internet’s Steve Lacy, and ‘Big Blue’. The band have confirmed ‘Big Blue’ was one of the tracks played at a Lollapalooza after party in August 2018.

The shows follow the previous confirmation of a Dublin date set to take place this summer. The band will perform at Trinity College on July 1.
