Watch the surreal video for The Chemical Brothers new single, ‘We’ve Got To Try’

The song will also be used as the sound of Formula 1 in 2019

The Chemical Brothers have given fans a taster of what they can expect from new album ‘No Geography’ through the release of another new song, ‘We’ve Got To Try.’

The song, which will also be used as the soundtrack the upcoming Formula 1 Season, was released earlier today alongside an accompanying new video.

Directed by Ninian Doff, the video is said to “tell a tale of heroic canine endeavour. An abandoned dog, ‘Girl’, is plucked from the street and in a classic rags-to-riches story embarks on an intrepid journey of self-discovery. Through sheer force of will, she rises through the ranks of motorsport, and much, much more.”

They also released a special remix of the song, transforming the song into the sound of an F1 car. The song was, according to a press release for the band, “broken down, re-engineered and accelerated to 15,000 beats per minute (BPM) to reflect the 15,000 revs per minute (RPM) that today’s hyper-complex F1 cars are capable of reaching.”

It added: “As long-standing fans of the sport and having performed at F1 parties over the years, this collaboration continues the band’s incredible track record of innovation.”

Last month, the band shared another new song from their upcoming album, together with its track listing, which you can see below. The new album will be released on April 12.
