Cardi B returns to Instagram and teases new track with Bruno Mars

Finesse 2?

Cardi B has returned to Instagram, confirming that a new collaboration with Bruno Mars will arrive later this week.

The acclaimed rapper left the site earlier this week, after telling fans that she was “sick” of the criticism that her Grammy win had sparked.

She said she had “worked her ass off” to record debut album ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ and deleted her Instagram before returning on Wednesday evening.

Announcing that she was “back from retirement”, Cardi confirmed the new collaboration and shared a photo of herself and Bruno Mars.

“Ok so I’m back from retirement to announce I have a brand new song coming out Friday at midnight with @brunomars . #twogrammywinningartist,” she wrote.

Responding to the post, one fan wrote: “Welcome back, GRAMMY WINNING ARTIST!!! We love you!!!

Despite making history as the first ever solo female artist to win the Best Rap album Grammy, Cardi faced backlash from a selection of critics who claimed that she didn’t deserve the accolade.

In the wake of the criticism, she received support from Lady Gaga – who hailed her as “brave”.

“It is so hard to be a woman in this industry. What it takes, how hard we work through the disrespectful challenges, just to make art,” wrote Gaga.

Cardi’s latest collaboration with Bruno Mars comes after the pair previously joined forces on 2018 mega-hit ‘Finesse’.
