Ozzy Osbourne hospitalised due to complications from flu

Get well soon, Oz.

Ozzy Osbourne has been admitted to hospital after suffering complications from the flu.

This comes after the Black Sabbath icon recently postponed his entire UK and European tour due to illness– apologising that at the moment ‘everything he touches turns to shit’.

Speaking on Twitter last night, his wife and manager Sharon told fans: “As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu.

“His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”

Speaking of the tour dates pulled last week, Ozzy said: “I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour,” Ozzy said in a statement. “It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to shit. First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis. I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down.

He added: “However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September. Again, I apologize to everyone. God Bless. Love you all, Ozzy.”

Osbourne recently confirmed that, despite the name of his latest tour, he was still planning to tour in the future. He assured fans the dates weren’t part of a farewell tour, saying: “People have gotten that all wrong. The tour should have been the ‘Ozzy Osbourne Slowing Down Tour’.”
