Last night Dave Grohl joined the Zac Brown Band on stage to perform a cover of Metallica‘s classic ‘Enter Sandman’.
The band were performing in Atlanta when the surprise collaboration saw the Foo Fighters frontman deliver a spirited vocal performance of the metal staple, striding around the stage before falling to his knees to worship Brown and co. See footage from the event below.
This comes after Grohl and Metallica performed together at the recent Chris Cornell tribute show.
The Foos also delivered a cover of ‘Enter Sandman’ with a 10-year-old fan on guitar during a concert last year.

Grohl originally wrote to the council in 2016 after local band Black Leaves Of Envy were banned from playing at home. The letter, which resurfaced around Grohl’s 50th birthday, saw the singer, guitarist, and drummer explaining the importance for a young to have somewhere to practice. “Like many musicians, I started in a garage in my neighbourhood,” he wrote. “For musicians that lack the resources to rehearse in professional facilities, a garage or basement is the only place they have to develop their talent and passion. I believe that it is crucial that children have a place to explore their creativity and establish a sense of self through song.”
A jovial response from the council left locals less than amused.
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters will return to the UK this summer to headline Reading & Leeds festival alongside The 1975, Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots.
