“I’m the rap devil”: Machine Gun Kelly ends 2018 with parting shot at Eminem

"Goodbye 2018"

Machine Gun Kelly ended 2018 by offering one final shot at Eminem in their long-running feud.

The two rappers became embroiled in a back and forth last year, after Em’s surprise album ‘Kamikaze’ saw him call out Kelly on the track ‘Not Alike’. Kelly then responded with ‘Rap Devil’, on which he referenced Eminem’s sobriety and age.

But as the feud went on, Eminem revealed why he took aim at Kelly  saying it was “a lot more petty” than the presumption that his rage was provoked by comments Kelly had made about his daughter Hailie.

“The reason that I dissed him is because he got on — first he said, ‘I’m the greatest rapper alive since my favourite rapper banned me from Shade 45,’ or whatever he said, right? Like I’m trying to hinder his career,” he said.

“I don’t give a fuck about your career. You think I actually fuckin’ think about you? You know how many fuckin’ rappers that are better than you? You’re not even in the fuckin’ conversation.”

But while the feud eventually died down, Kelly risked reigniting it on New Year’s Eve with one final parting shot to end 2018. He posted a clip of the ‘Rap Devil’ video on Instagram and offered a defiant message.

“Just to piss y’all off one more time before the years over. y’all still BIG mad ‍♂️ fuck rap god im the rap devil goodbye 2018,” Kelly said.

However, Eminem is yet to directly respond – so it seems like the biggest feud of 2018 probably won’t extend into the New Year too.

As for Kelly, he’s working on his new album, having previously confirmed that he has scrapped it to start afresh.
