Taylor Swift celebrates birthday by announcing ‘Reputation’ concert film for Netflix

It's set to air at the end of this month

Taylor Swift is set to drop a special concert film based on her recent ‘Reputation’ stadium tour on Netflix at the end of the year.

The singer took to Twitter to drop a trailer and announce the movie which which will air from December 31. You can view the clip below.

The movie highlights the expansive stage production of the 2018 tour, which promoted Swift’s sixth LP, 2017’s Reputation.

The show included pyrotechnics, fireworks, multiple stages and a 63-foot cobra. 

Meanwhile, Swift recently signed a new contract with Universal Music Group, which also secures money for other musicians.

The singer successfully negotiated a deal that came with a unique condition –  that the sale of UMG’s shares of Spotify result in money to their artists.

She continued: “I asked that any sale of their Spotify shares result in a distribution of money to their artist, non-recoupable.

“They have generously agreed to this, at what they believe will be much better terms and paid out previously by other major labels”.

The new record deal also ensures that Swift is the owner of her masters going forward.

Meanwhile, the singer recently teamed up with Hayley Kiyoko on stage in New York to perform ‘Delicate’.

Last month, Swift was also named as the “most influential” Twitter user of 2018 – despite only tweeting 13 times this year.
