Mac Sabbath: Ozzy Osbourne meets the McDonald’s Black Sabbath tribute band

'I am a frying pan'

Ozzy Osbourne has finally met the McDonalds themed Black Sabbath tribute band, Mac Sabbath.

The veteran rocker was surprised by the parody band during filming for Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour reality TV series, in a clip which never made it to air. You can watch the moment below.

In the video, Osbourne, Jack and his daughter Pearl all sit down in front of a red-and-yellow curtain. “What the fuck is this?” Ozzy asks. The curtain then falls to Mac Sabbath playing the signature riff of ‘Iron Man’.

Speaking about the moment, frontman Ronald Osbourne told Rolling Stone: “Being Ronald Osbourne, the front-clown for Mac Sabbath, isn’t easy. I have to meet all these fry-by-night ‘Drive-through metal’ icons like Burger King Diamond, Cinnibon Jovi and KFCC DeVille, look them in the eye and pretend like my indigestion is not acting up. Today is quite different. Today I met Ozzy Freaking Osbourne. Some big clown shoes to fill.”

He added: “You might not believe this, but without Black Sabbath, Mac Sabbath would not exist.”

Meanwhile, Osbourne recently admitted his confusion over the current Brexit crisis.

Speaking to The Big Issue from his home in Los Angeles, the Black Sabbath singer said: “People keep going on at me about that – is it a big deal over there? What will happen with it? Are people voting in or out, what’s going on?

“I don’t read the newspapers and I don’t really talk politics because I don’t really know. I don’t really understand Brexit.”
