People think Lauryn Hill is playing Glastonbury

All because of Emily Eavis' Instagram account

Festival-goers looking forward to Glastonbury 2019 reckon Lauryn Hill might be heading to Worthy Farm next year.

The line-up for the next edition of the festival has yet to be announced but fans are speculating the acclaimed singer could be among the names on the bill after she appeared on Emily Eavis’ Instagram page earlier this week (December 3).

The Glastonbury organiser was in attendance at Hill’s show at London’s The O2, celebrating the 20th anniversary of her seminal solo album, ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill’. “Lauryn Hill raising the roof!” Eavis captioned a photo of the star on stage, sending her followers into a frenzy in the comments.

“West Holts headliner,” one Instagram user predicted, while another said: “West Holts. Got to be.”

Others begged Eavis to make sure Hill was booked for the 2019 festival, which takes place on June 26-30. “GET HER FOR GLASTO! GET HER FOR GLASTO! GET HER FOR GLASTO!” wrote one.

Only one act has been confirmed for Glastonbury 2019 so far. Stormzy was the first headliner to be announced, provoking a divisive reaction from fans. Eavis had previously described teased him as “one of the most exciting acts in British music… someone who can completely do this.”

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier this week that popular Glastonbury area Block 9 would be doubling in size for next year’s event as part of major changes at the festival. The house and disco-focused venue, which is home to immersive spaces like NYC Downlow,  will be spread across more than one field, according to reports.
