Muse treat Royal Albert Hall to ’15 minutes of metal’ and debut new material

Supermassive setlist

Last night saw Muse play a special charity show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, performing songs from new album ‘Simulation Theory‘ live for the first time as well as a medley consisting of ’15 minutes of metal’. Check out photos, footage and the setlist below.

The show was in aid of the Prince’s Trust, with frontman Matt Bellamy informing the crowd that the gig had raised over half a million pounds. Streamed via the band’s Instagram, the show saw the audience invited to sing Happy Birthday to bassist Chris Wolstenholme, who was also married at the weekend.

Opening with the live debut of ‘Algorithm’, Muse also aired the titular ‘Showbiz’ from their debut album, as well as playing the-funk metal new song ‘Break It To Me’ live for the first time, along with a medley of “15 minutes of metal” consisting of sections from some of their heavier material, with ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, ‘Assassin’, ‘Reapers’, ‘The Handler’, ‘Dead Star’, ‘Micro Cuts’, ‘New Born’ and ‘Ashamed’.
