Doves announce first gig in nine years to lead Teenage Cancer Trust 2019 line-up

Take That, Rudimental and more will also perform

Doves have announced their return to play their first gig in nine years as part of the line-up for Teenage Cancer Trust gigs next year.

The seminal Manchester trio have been on hiatus since 2010, after playing what they said could have been their ‘last ever gig’ at the Warehouse Project. Now, after teasing their return last week, they’re back with live dates on the horizon and their first new material since 2009’s acclaimed ‘Kingdom Of Rust‘.

Their first confirmed gig is headlining a night as part of Roger Daltrey’s Teenage Cancer Trust shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall next year. Other confirmed acts are Take That, Rudimental, The Script, and The Levellers.

“Many people will not be aware that Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity that receives no government funding and is dependent on raising money from the public to provide vital wards and nursing care which are a lifeline for young people with cancer,” said Daltrey. “I’m incredibly grateful to all of the artists who’ve given up time in their busy schedules to help young people with cancer get the specialist care they deserve.

“Looking back, we’ve had so many unforgettable moments at the shows over the years and these moments are amplified by the wonderful young people with cancer I have met. I’m consistently overwhelmed by their positivity in the face of a life changing circumstance. They are the reason we strive to make these shows the very best we can and this year will be no different.”

The fill line-up for Teenage Cancer Trust 2019 at The Royal Albert Hall is below. Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday December 7 and will be available here.
