Eagles of Death Metal announce Download 2019 warm-up shows

The band will visit these shores in June

Eagles of Death Metal have announced a pair of warm-up UK gigs which will take place just ahead of their slot at Download Festival next summer.

The Jesse Hughes-led band will be one of the acts performing at Download in June, which takes place from June 14-16 at Donington Park. Def Leppard, Slipknot and Tool will headline the festival in 2019.

EODM will warm up for their Download slot with two UK shows: the first will take place in London at the Electric Ballroom on June 12, before the band will head up north for a gig at Glasgow’s Garage on June 13.

Eagles of Death Metal are set to release a covers album, ‘Pigeons of Shit Metal’ – with the title having been inspired by an insult Axl Rose once directed at the band.

The record will see EODM cover tracks by the likes of AC/DC, the Ramones and, of course, Rose’s Guns N Roses.

Earlier this month, Jesse Hughes said he was unable to attend a remembrance service in memory of the victims of the Batalcan attack in Paris because he had been involved in a car accident.
