Marillion keyboard player to perform at gig tonight despite being hit by a truck

Mark Kelly suffered broken ribs and injuries to his wrist and head

Marillion keyboard player Mark Kelly missed the band’s show in Essen, Germany last night (November 25) after being hit by a truck and subsequently hospitalised.

Kelly was out jogging when the incident took place, and suffered four broken ribs, damage to his wrist and cuts to his head.

Despite missing a gig while recovering, Kelly is set to return for the band’s gig tonight (November 26), also at Essen’s Colosseum venue.

The band revealed the news on social media, saying: “We collectively took the decision that ‘the show must go on’ and put together a half acoustic/half electric show with our friend Riccardo on keys for the last few songs.
