Bob Dylan makes appearance on Jimmy Fallon without saying a word

Dylan was promoting his new Whiskey range and turned up for a drink on the chat show

Bob Dylan appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s chat show to advertise his new Whiskey line, but the American legend didn’t even say a word.

Instead, Dylan – who rarely appears on chat shows – joined Fallon for a pre-recorded clip that saw the pair enjoying some of the musician’s whiskey together while watching a private circus performance from Big Apple Circus.

By the end of the clip, Fallon is shocked when Dylan mysteriously disappears before a performer tells him there was no one there to begin with, leading him to question, “what was in that whiskey?”

Dylan was promoting his new brand of whiskey, called Heaven’s Door. The star filed a trademark for the term “bootleg whiskey” back in 2015, which caught the eye of liquor entrepreneur Marc Bushala and led to the new line being created.

“Dylan has these qualities that actually work well for a whiskey,” Bushala said to the New York Times. “He has great authenticity. He is a quintessential American. He does things the way he wants to do them. I think these are good attributes for a super-premium whiskey as well.”

The label for the drink is silhouettes of wagon wheels and crows and it retails at $50-$80 (£36-£58) a bottle.

Meanwhile, Dylan recently contributed a track to a compilation that turns classic tracks into “same-sex wedding anthems”.

‘Universal Love’ was released in April, Dylan reimagining classic track ‘She’s Funny That Way’ (popularised by Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole), changing the song to be ‘He’s Funny That Way’.

While recently it was announced that Bob Dylan’s classic 1975 album, ‘Blood on the Tracks’ is to be turned into a film by Suspiria and Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagino.
