Daniel Radcliffe still hasn’t seen ‘Harry Potter & The Cursed Child’

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he’s still yet to see Harry Potter & The Cursed Child.

The acclaimed play opened in London in 2016 and catches up with the titular wizard as he faces an increasingly strained relationship with son Albus Severus, who is preparing to head to Hogwarts for the first time.

But after previously admitting that he hasn’t seen the play, Radcliffe has confirmed once more that he still has no plans to catch the show after it opened on Broadway earlier this year.

“I always give a really boring, terrible answer”, he told US talk show host Seth Meyers. “I’m probably not going to see it, I don’t have plans to. Not because I think it would throw me into some sort of existential crisis of like, ‘Oh, is that what happened?'”

Radcliffe also claimed that a trip to see the show would “not be a relaxing evening,”.

“I feel like I would be being watched for my reaction”, he explained.

“And maybe that is completely conceited and egotistical and people wouldn’t care, but I do feel if I was just surrounded by ‘Harry Potter’ fans, it would be a little odd.”

Could a disguise be in the offing though?

“The thing about a disguise,” Radcliffe explains, “is that if it stops working, then you’re just a dude who wore a disguise.”

In 2016, the star also revealed it was equaly unlikely he would ever reprise the role of the boy wizard in a film.
