‘Getting Down The Germs’ follows Way’s single, ‘Baby You’re A Haunted House’, which was shared in October.

Way’s solo debut album was 2014’s ‘Hesitant Alien’. Last April, he released two singles for Record Store Day, ‘Into The Cave We Wander’  and ‘Pogi’s Cavern’.

The star has also appeared and worked on several other tracks including a co-write on Andy Black’s song ‘Louder Than Your Love’ in 2016.

Way’s talent doesn’t stop there. He’s has also written a graphic novel series for DC Comics called Young Animal and created a new show for Netflix based on his comic, The Umbrella Academy. Mary J. Blige was recently announced to have joined the cast.

My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013. In 2017, NME spoke to Way about the band’s recent informal public reunion, and revealed that they didn’t discuss the band or the possibility of getting back together. He didn’t, however, deny that it couldn’t happen.

Way revealed in March that he works on music every Friday, but he hasn’t confirmed a follow-up to his 2014 debut.
