Zayn Malik has seemingly confirmed long-standing reports that Taylor Swift sometimes travels in a suitcase to avoid paparazzi.
Rumours of the unlikely transportation method emerged last year after two men were snapped carrying a large suitcase out of the singer’s Manhattan apartment. At the time, it was claimed that the singer used the elaborate ruse in order to avoid photographers who remained a constant presence outside her home.
Although Swift was quick to shut down the rumours, former One Direction star Zayn has seemingly suggested that there might be some truth in it after all.
In a new interview with Vogue, Malik claims that Swift was “always travelling around in a suitcase” as they recorded 2017 single ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’.
A similar tactic was used by Adele for her 2017 stadium tour as security teams transported her through the crowd in a box to reach a stage situated in the round.
Meanwhile, Zayn also admitted in the same interview that he not longer considers himself to be a Muslim because he does not “believe any of it”.

“To be honest, I’ve never spoken publicly about what my religious beliefs are,” he said. “I’m not professed to be a Muslim.”
He continued: “I don’t believe you need to eat a certain meat that’s been prayed over a certain way, I don’t believe you need to read a prayer in a certain language five times a day. I don’t believe any of it.”
