Following in the Foos’ footsteps, watch Courtney Love perform Hole’s ‘Celebrity Skin’ and ‘Malibu’ with 1000 musicians

This is epic...

Courtney Love has joined forces with Italy’s Rockin1000 to perform two of her most popular hits with Hole.

The group of 1,000 Italian musicians made headlines in 2015 when they performed ‘Learn To Fly’ together in a successful bid to get Foo Fighters to perform in the town of Cesena.

But in July, they returned once more to perform with Love at That’s Live 2018, a charity event that took place at Florence’s Artemio Franchi Stadium.

In the video, Love is seen belting out Hole’s ‘Celebrity Skin’ and ‘Malibu’, while she’s supported by the largest backing band of her career.

“The first time I saw the Rockin’1000 video, I thought, ‘I want to do that!’” said Love. “The sight and sound of a thousand musicians connecting with their audience in this open, transcultural way was incredible. It reminded me of the early punk scene, with its community centered around diversity and acceptance.

“And after I learned about Rockin’1000’s and Only the Brave Foundation’s commitment to San Patrignano, a charity dedicated to fighting addiction and social exclusion, I knew I had to be a part of it.”

Meanwhile, Courtney Love released a new clothing line inspired by her memoir Dirty Blonde: The Memoirs of Courtney Love.

She’s  teamed up with designer label Midnight Studios to create a capsule collection that features some of those items emblazoned onto them. The line features a range of shirts, jumpers, trousers, and bags.
