Police forced to confirm that suspect isn’t Eminem after posting images of lookalike

A Facebook post asking for information has gone viral

Police in the US have been forced to confirm a man wanted in connection to a trespassing incident isn’t Eminem.

The police department in Rochester, New Hampshire shared images of the suspect on social media last week, with the post soon going viral due to the man’s likeness to the Detroit rapper.

Commenters immediately began to respond to the post with plays on Eminem lyrics, including “He’s probably just going round the outside, round the outside“, “Will the real Slim Shady please fess up“, and “Look at him! Just walking around, grabbing his… you know what, flipping the… You know who.

Police updated the post after identifying the man in the photographs. “The subject has been identified, and we can confirm it is NOT Marshall Mathers,” they wrote.

Eminem has not commented on the lookalike at present.

The rapper has been in the headlines recently for an ongoing feud between him and Machine Gun Kelly.

Rapper Tech N9ne has now discussed how his track ‘No Reason’ reignited the beef between the two stars. The song features Kelly and finds him rapping: “Remind y’all you just rap, you’re not God/And I don’t care who got bars.

Eminem fired back on his ‘Kamikaze‘ track ‘Not Alike’: “Next time don’t use Tech N9ne to come at me with a submachine gun.

“MGK called me the next day and was like, ‘Tech man, I’m sorry man. I would’ve given you the Rap Genius breakdown at the beginning to let you know,’” Tech N9ne said. “He was like, ‘You know, we’ve been going at it for a while over his daughter.’ I was blindsided. I didn’t know it was about Em, you know what I’m saying.”

Meanwhile, Joe Budden – who was also one of Eminem’s targets on ‘Kamikaze’ – has denied he’s coming out of retirement to respond to the disses made against him.
