Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell denies she’s engaged to Slaves’ Isaac Holman

"I'm not engaged to anyone".

Wolf Alice singer Ellie Rowsell has spoken out to deny that she’s engaged to Slaves singer and drummer Isaac Holman.

Although the pair are believed to be dating, a report in The Sun today claimed that they were engaged after Holman popped the question over the summer.

The report also claimed that the pair had purchased a house in Margate together, while a source described them as “a match made in heaven”.

However, Rowsell has now posted on Twitter to deny their engagement – as well as confirming that they haven’t purchased their first home together.

“No but seriously I don’t know why tabloids are writing about my personal life let alone lying about it”, Rowsell clarified.

“I’m not engaged to anyone, I haven’t bought a house in margate and my name isn’t Alice. Cheers for the nice messages tho and stop reading The Sun x.”

She also shared a photo of two hands with pierced fingers – mocking the speculation.

After winning the Mercury Prize last month, Wolf Alice headed straight back to Australia to complete their tour down under. They’ll next be seen in South Africa for two shows on Friday, October 5 and Sunday, October 7.

In December, they’ll complete touring for ‘Visions of A Life’ with three massive shows in London and Manchester.

Speaking to NME, bassist Theo Ellis joked that they could feature a distinctly festive feel.

“We are going to play songs that we haven’t maybe ever played live,” said Ellis.

“We are going to play songs that we haven’t played for a while – it’s also very near Christmas so that’s a good excuse to play some of the greatest music ever written, which is Christmas songs!

“We want to get a Michael Buble impersonator.”
