Watch Arctic Monkeys play ‘Dancing Shoes’ for first time since 2014 at UK tour opener

The band kicked off their UK arena dates in Manchester tonight (September 6)

Arctic Monkeys played ‘Dancing Shoes’ for the first time in four years at the opening date of their UK tour.

The band have only played one headline show – at London’s Royal Albert Hall – in the UK since releasing sixth album ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino‘ in May.

Kicking off the run of dates at Manchester Arena tonight (September 6), the Sheffield band performed with a hexagonal light fixture hanging above them and lights spelling out “Monkeys” above the front of the stage.

During the set, Arctic Monkeys gave ‘Dancing Shoes’, which featured on their debut album ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not‘, its first airing in four years. According to Setlist.FM, the track was last performed live at Rio de Janiero’s HSBC Arena on November 15, 2014.
