Kanye West reaches out to Drake over Pusha T feud

"This is all Jedi level"

Kanye West has spoken out to offer Drake the olive branch amid their ongoing feud involving Pusha T.

With Pusha T and Drake’s feud dating back to 2011, things came to a head earlier this year and caught Kanye in the crossfire. Pusha accused Drake of having a ghostwriter to pen his lyrics, as well as fathering an illegitimate child on latest diss track ‘The Story of Adidon’. Drake had previously hit out at Pusha and accused Kanye of using ghostwriters on his ‘Duppy Freestyle’ diss.

Drake took shots at both West and Pusha T on stage and in his freestyles for Behind Barz and BBC 1Xtra’s Fire In The Booth. In the former, he rapped: “They wanna link when they got no chunes / They too worried about selling out shoes, I don’t give a fuck about jeans or crap / Or going to Milan or going to the Met / I just wanna make these songs for the set.”

Now in a lengthy series of Tweets, Kanye has praised Drake’s live show, as well as apologising for releasing his latest album ‘Ye’ in the same month as Drake’s ‘Scorpion‘. He also said sorry for ‘Lift Yourself’ not including Drake as originally intended, and denied informing Pusha T of his son ahead of ‘The Story Of Adion‘.

“Sending good energy and love to Drake and family and crew,” wrote Kanye. “I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online. I understand where the confusion started.”

“Let me start by apologising for stepping on your release date in the first place. We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with Cudi at our office.”

He continued: “When I put the dates up I was a bit ramped up doing 25 tweets a day TMZ happened shortly after.”

He then stopped typing as his plane was landing, before he continued: “because we spoke about doing ‘Lift Yourself’ together I should have given you the opportunity for us to do this together before I released it.

“Since we were building as friends and brothers I should have spoken to Pusha about the Quentin Miller bar. There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you. I never listened to either diss track that followed but I did hear quotes from both songs after they were released.”

Kanye added: “I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha. I don’t play with the idea of people’s children after I spoke to Wiz a few years earlier. I understand Pusha’s issues as a man if someone mentions your fiancé men go mask off. I’ve done the same myself at times. I love you and I love Pusha and we all have an admiration for each other’s craft.”

“This is all Jedi level. I will be coming to your show within the next seven days to give love and be inspired by the art you have created.”

Meanwhile, Kanye was recently spotted in the studio with Chance The Rapper as the pair appear to continue work on their forthcoming joint album.

“I came home to work with Chance on his new album”, Kanye explained after the sighting.

Hours later, the pair were seen together in the studio for the first time as they posed with producer Zaytoven.
