Britney Spears has been widely mocked by fans after forgetting where she was performing for the second time in less than a month.
As she rounded off her European tour on Saturday night, the pop icon offered an enthusiastic greeting to her Blackpool fans – but something wasn’t quite right.
“How you feeling Birmingham?! I mean Blackpool”, she is seen telling fans in a video posted on social media.

The video even sees Britney’s blushes worsen as the fan pans to reveal that the singer is standing right in front of the Blackpool Tower.
Although Britney *had* performed at Birmingham’s Genting Arena only a day previously, the comment proved widespread mockery.
“Britney Spears called Blackpool Birmingham last night whilst stood next to the BLACKPOOL TOWER”, one fan wrote.

Amid the geographical cock-up, some fans were willing to be a little more understanding.
“Oh well, the poor woman was travelling all around the world and Blackpool is not as well known in the states”, one reasoned.

Britney suffered a similar indignity as she performed at Brighton Pride last month. The US pop sensation headlined the annual LGBTQ+ celebration, marking her first UK performance since 2016.
Footage from the appearance appears to show Spears turning to loudly ask a backing dancer ‘where are we?’, before bellowing to the crowd ‘What’s up Brighton Pride’:
