The stars attended the party as the shooting of the final series came to an end

Stars from Game Of Thrones attended a party in Belfast on Saturday night (June 30) as filming on the series came to an end.

Masie Williams, Emilia Clarke, Iain Glen, Natalie Emmanuel and Alfie Allen were all at the party, as was the newly married Kit Harrington. Harrington married his co-star Rose Leslie just a week ago.

Also present was Ben Crompton, Isaac Hampstead-White, Jacob Anderson and John Bradley.

The setting mirrored something out of King’s Landing, with guests arriving to a flaming-torch lit Waterfront Hall next to the River Lagan in Belfast.

Last week, Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen posted on Instagram that she would miss her “home away from home” in Northern Ireland, where much of the series is filmed.

Clarke wrote: “Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing.”

Sophie Turner recently revealed that in the final run of the HBO show next year, it will be “bloodier” and “more emotionally tortuous” than anything so far.

Speaking to Gold Derby, the actress who plays Sansa Stark in the show said: “I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right.”

“It’s Game Of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before.”

Recently, a new tattoo that Turner had sparked rumours about the Season 8 ending.

With the motto “the pack survives” alongside a picture of a Direwolf. As well as appearing in the Game of Thrones books by George R.R. Martin, it’s a phrase that appears in Season 7 when Sansa tells her sister Arya, “the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.”

Meanwhile, her on-screen sister Arya, played by Maisie Williams, revealed that she has more relaxing plans now that the show is coming to an end, telling Twitter that she is ready to settle down.

“With Game of Thrones coming to an end I find myself looking to the future and honestly I just can’t wait to grow up and settle down in a big house with loads of dogs.”

HBO recently confirmed that a new prequel of the series has been ordered and will be set “thousands of years” before the series and will reveal the “true origin of the White Walkers.
