Ashcroft was also one of the artists to support The Rolling Stones earlier this month. Gallagher supported them on their opening night back in May.
The pair also toured North America together last month and Ashcroft previously supported Gallagher on his gigs in Malahide Castle and Gardens in Dublin on June 15 as well as the Belsonic at Ormeau Park in Belfast on June 16.
Gallagher previously teased one of the support acts for the Finsbury Park show in the summer, describing the artist in question as a “biblical brother”.
Ashcroft appeared shortly before Liam’s headline slot, performing a brief, four song acoustic set. Check out the setlist below footage of the performance.
