Watch Christina Aguilera busk in disguise in a New York subway station

She covers Aretha Franklin's 'Think'

Christina Aguilera headed to a New York subway station to busk in disguise with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.

The singer released her new album ‘Liberation’ today (June 15) – her first album in six years and her eighth full-length release.

For the subway performance, she donned a 70s style disguise of a large hat and sunglasses while Fallon wore sunglasses and a beard. They performed a cover of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Think’ before Aguilera took off her disguise and performed her hit single ‘Fighter’. Watch them below.

Earlier this year, Aguilera opened up about witnessing domestic violence during her childhood and her thoughts on the evolution of sexual expression for young female artists.

Speaking to Paper Magazine, she said: “I watched my mom have to be submissive, watch her Ps and Qs or she’s gonna get beat up.

“You can either be, unfortunately, so damaged by it that you take a turn for the worse, or you can feel empowered by it and make choices to never go down that route.”
