Led Zeppelin have reunited to work on a new book about the band to mark their 50th anniversary.
The classic rock group last performed together in 2007 when they headlined London’s The O2 Arena. Jason Bonham filled in for his dad John on drums, who died in 1980.
A new post on Led Zeppelin’s official Twitter account has revealed that, while a live reunion isn’t happening at the moment, a reformation of another kind is. John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, and Jimmy Page were pictured together, with Plant holding a draft copy of a new book they’ve been working on together.

Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin “is the first and only official illustrated book to be produced in collaboration with the members of the band”, according to an official description. It is being produced to celebrate 50 years of the iconic rock group and will feature photographs of Jones, Page, Plant, and Bonham “on and offstage, in candid moments and in the recording studio.”
The official description continued to say: “This definitive 400-page volume includes previously unpublished photos, artwork from the Led Zeppelin archives and contributions from photographers around the world.”

Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin will be published in October via Reel Art Press. It is available for pre-order now and will cost $69.95 (£52.15).
In February, guitarist Page discussed rumours the band would reunite for an anniversary concert this year. Speaking to Planet Rock, he said: “I very much doubt it. You’ve just got to face facts. We’ve gone past the 10th anniversary of the O2 [show], where we managed to do one serious concert. That’s the only thing that we’ve done for such a long time, so I very much doubt we’ll do anything else. I really think the time has gone.”
