Paul Weller turns 60 today (May 25) and to celebrate his birthday, he’s treated fans to the release of new track ‘Aspects’.
It’s a reflective, acoustic effort that’s reportedly influenced by Nick Drake. It’s also said to be included on Wellers’ forthcoming 14th album, ‘True Meanings,’ released later this year.
âI donât know if itâs indicative of the album, but itâs certainly the cornerstone to the record for me. Itâs also where I got the title of the album from⌔ Weller said in a statement.

Earlier this year, Liam Gallagher dubbed The Jam star âfull of shitâ after Weller spoke of his admiration for Noel Gallagher.
Weller has a longstanding relationship with Liamâs estranged brother Noel and Liam has previously accused them of having âsecret meetingsâ leading up to the split of Oasis.

Taking to Twitter, Liam wrote: âWellerâs full of shit as well. Porcelain mod father â canât wait to bump him.â
One fan then asked Liam if he would be changing the name of his clothing label Pretty Green â named after a song by Wellerâs iconic band The Jam â Liam replied: âHe donât own the word pretty and he donât own the word green.â
It’s not the first time that Liam has hit out at Weller. Previously, he slammed Wellerâs middling response to his solo material, claiming âIâve never been one of his little bitchesâ.
