Jet Li’s manager issues health update after sparking concern for looking ‘frail’ in photo

"He is completely fine"

The manager of Jet Li has assured fans of his wellbeing after photos sparked concern when the actor appeared ‘frail’ in images on social media.

Earlier this week, photos emerged across Chinese social media as the martial arts actor visited a temple in Tibet. While there were reports that Li was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2010 (with symptoms including muscle weakness and sleeping problems), his manager Steven Chasman has said that the 55-year-old Li is “completely fine” and that the online speculation is “much ado about nothing”

“We appreciate everyone’s concern. But Jet is completely fine,” he told USA Today. “There’s nothing wrong with him. There’s no life-threatening illness. He’s in great shape.”

He added: It’s one picture and people are making these interpretations from it. If you took a picture of me at the wrong angle and wrong time of the day, I could look frail as well.”
