Jarvis Cocker has announced a UK festival date

The performance arrives after a string of tiny UK shows

Jarvis Cocker is one of the latest acts to join the Standon Calling line-up.

A new wave of artists has been added to the festival bill, with Matthew Dear, Easy Life, Lily Moore, Bakar, Ralph Taylor, Rachel K Collier, Weaver Bros, Point Mantis and more included in the announcement.

Cocker will be playing a DJ set, while Bryan Ferry, Paloma Faith and George Ezra will headline the weekend’s festivities.

Standon Calling festival takes place in the grounds of Standon Lordship, in the village of Standon, Hertfordshire from 26th-29th of July.

Cocker’s DJ set comes after the former Pulp frontman performed of string of tiny UK shows under the name JARV back in March.

Cocker sang in the band, with Serafina Steer on harp and keyboards, Emma Smith on violin, Andrew McKinney on bass, and Three Trapped Tigers‘ Adam Betts on drums.

Meanwhile, Cocker‘s BBC 6Music show came to an end back in December.

The Pulp frontman first began hosting the Sunday Service programme in January 2010. Announcing his departure, Cocker said: “It’s not goodbye, it’s just farewell. We wanted to say farewell properly and so we’re going to do a run of five extra-special shows throughout December, starting this Sunday (December 3). Let’s keep warm together.”
