Alice In Chains paid tribute to the late Chris Cornell by covering classic Soundgarden songs at a festival over the weekend.
Grunge icon and Audioslave frontman Cornell died by suicide on May 18, 2017. He was 52 years old.
Marking the one year anniversary of Cornell’s passing, Alice In Chains covered ‘Hunted Down’ and ‘Boot Camp’ at the Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio on Friday (May 18).

Tool also paid tribute to Cornell at the festival, with frontman Maynard James Keenan dedicating his band’s set to the late star.
It was recently reported that two of Soundgarden’s three surviving members are to reunite for the first time since Cornell’s death. Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron are said to be part of a supergroup formed to mark the 50th anniversary of MC5’s ‘Kick Out The Jams’ album, who will perform at Denmark’s Northside Festival on June 8.
Alice In Chains, meanwhile, recently released their first new song in five years, titled ‘The One You Know’. They also shared a video for the track.
The Seattle band last released an album in 2013 with ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’. Their new album, their sixth studio effort to date, is expected for release in the summer.
