Beyoncé has bought her own church, according to reports.
TMZ reports that the star has purchased a New Orleans church that dates back over 100 years. The 7,500 square foot property, which is located near to sister Solange‘s home, was on the market for $850,000 (£633,000).
According to its listing, the property “affords many possibilities for redevelopment as a single, multi- family, remaining as a Church, possibility of a commercial usage or many other possibilities”.
The building hasn’t been used as a church for “some time”, according to TMZ, and it’s unclear whether Beyoncé will convert it into a residential property.
Back in January, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s video for ‘Family Feud’ sparked outrage from Catholics, with critics branding it “exploitative”.
The nearly 8-minute long video saw Jay-Z take his daughter Blue Ivy Carter into a church where he confesses his sins to Beyoncé.

The Catholic League, an organisation not officially connected to the Catholic church, released a statement from its president Bill Donohue, condemning the visuals.
“Is it anti-Catholic? No, it is not a bigoted assault,” he wrote. “But it is nonetheless gratuitous as well as exploitative, just the kind of thing we would expect from this genius couple.”
