Haim respond to being parodied by ‘Saturday Night Live’ and Nicki Minaj

The sketch didn't make the cut during last night's episode (May 19) - but it has since been posted online

Haim have registered their approval of a new Saturday Night Live sketch which parodied the band and featured Nicki Minaj delivering a guest rap.

Minaj was the musical guest on last night’s episode of the long-running US variety show (May 19), with the rapper performing two of her new tracks – ‘Chun-Li’ and ‘Poke It Out’ – during the live broadcast.

One sketch which didn’t air last night has now been posted on SNL‘s digital channels, with the skit sending up Haim.

The three sisters are portrayed in the sketch by last night’s guest host Tina Fey and SNL castmembers Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon, with the video seemingly taking cues from Haim’s official clip for their song ‘Little of Your Love’, which came out in October 2017.

Towards the end of the skit, Minaj turned up to lay down a verse – which kept in line with the sketch’s tone of taking down people who have taken advantage of or upset the ‘Haim’ sisters. See the sketch below.

Haim have since registered their approval of the sketch in the form of a very enthusiastic tweet:

Last night’s SNL also saw Fey deliver a star-studded opening monologue, with the 30 Rock star inviting the likes of Donald Glover and Chris Rock to make brief cameos.
