88-year-old Justin Timberlake superfan finally meets her hero

This is very wholesome.

An 88-year-old Justin Timberlake fan has finally had the chance to meet her hero, after the former N-Sync star invited her backstage at a recent show.

Bette Maloney, or ‘Nammie’ as she is known, was surprised by her family last Easter after they bought tickets to the star’s concert in Orlando, Florida.

But a much bigger surprise was in store at the concert, with photos showing Nammie smiling backstage with Timberlake.

“She was so excited,” Maloney’s daughter Beth Watson told US Media.

“She did have a few things to say planned, and she brought Justin’s son a gift to give to him.”

Maloney previously described Timberlake as “very talented”.

“I think he’s a very, very nice young man and he’s so talented”, she said.

“He writes, sings, dances, acts, performs. And he’s married and has a baby. He seems to be pretty settled.”

During the concert, Timberlake also offered a shoutout to Maloney.

The concert came as part of Timberlake’s Man Of The Woods tour, which hits the UK later this year.

He also performed at the Super Bowl half time show, with NME describing the performance as “underwhelming”.

“Cameraphones flashed around him, but what they would have caught was not a man closing out a triumphant performance, but one that was uninspired, mediocre, and – Prince tribute aside – instantly forgettable”, our verdict stated.
