Meanwhile, Cardi B recently spoke out to defend another one of her collaborations.

Following the release of Rita Ora’s track ‘Girls’ – which also featured Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha and Cardi – the British musician faced a backlash from the LGBTQ+ community over a section of its lyrics. Pop singer Hayley Kiyoko and R&B artist Kehlani were among the more prominent names to criticise the track, slamming the creation for being “downright tone-deaf.”

Cardi came to the defence of both the song and Ora by explaining that the artists involved “never intended to cause harm or bad intentions with the song”.

“I know I have use [sic] words before that I wasn’t aware are offensive to the LGBT community,” she added on Twitter. “I apologise for that. Not everybody knows the correct ‘terms’ to use. I learned and I stopped using it.”
