Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn have returned with new music. Check out ‘Bad Dreams’ from the upcoming ‘Apart’ EP below.
Johansson released her debut album ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head’ in 2008, before teaming up with Yorn to release ‘Break Up’ in 2009. Now, the pair have announced that their collaboration will continue with new EP ‘Apart’ arriving on June 1 via Capital.

Johansson also formed a band with Este from Haim back in 2015. Going by the name of The Singles, the group also consists of Holly Miranda, Kendra Morris and Julia Haltigan. A press release describes their sound as “super-pop”.

“The idea was to write super-pop dance music written and performed by girls,” Johansson writes. “I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go’s. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke.”
Speaking to NME last year, Johannson lamented the rise of President Donald Trump.
“[Hillary] was the right candidate for us all, not just for women,” she told NME. “What a mess we’re living in now. It may be because I’m a mother, but I’m really concerned about the future and the future of my daughter. I’m really worried, sometimes even distressed. It’s very important now that we stand up and speak up.”
She continued: “I continue more than ever to speak openly about political issues and to be politically active, just like I was taught ever since I was little girl. My parents and my grandmother always urged me to be interested in politics and be committed. This is not the time to stay quiet.”
