Don't you forget about them...

Arcade Fire marked the end of their UK tour last night by joining forces with Simple Minds’ Jim Kerr at their Glasgow show.

The Simple Minds frontman joined the ‘Everything Now’ band for a performance of Don’t You (Forget About Me), with Kerr providing vocals on one of his band’s most famous songs.

The moment came during an early portion of their two-hour show, with the group performing recent track ‘Put Your Money On Me’ before welcoming Kerr to their in-the-round stage.

During their shows at London’s SSE Arena Wembley last week, Arcade Fire were joined by The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde and Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker across two nights.

On the latter, Cocker launched into a rendition of solo track ‘Cunts Are Ruling The World’, and joked about the enduring significance of the song.

Explaining how he wrote the track 20 years ago, Cocker said: “You’d hope it’d be very irrelevant now. But unfortunately…that’s not the case.”

They finished their string of three London gigs on Friday night, where they were joined by Florence Welch and Boy George.
