Taking Back Sunday have announced the departure of guitarist and founding member Eddie Reyes from the band.
The Long Island outfit announced the news with a statement on their Facebook page, revealing that Reyes had left the band for personal reasons.
“Guitarist Eddie Reyes and Taking Back Sunday have parted ways due to personal reasons,” the statement reads. “Eddie was a founding member of the band and his contributions can be felt all along the way. John, Shaun, Mark and Adam love Eddie, wish him well in his future endeavours and look forward to hitting the road soon.”

Reyes helped form Taking Back Sunday in 1999, with the guitarist now the second-longest serving member of the band – behind fellow founding member and lead guitarist John Nolan.
Reyes played on all seven of Taking Back Sunday’s albums, with the most recent release coming in 2016 with ‘Tidal Wave’.

Nolan now features in a line-up which consists of lead vocalist Adam Lazzara, bassist Shaun Cooper and drummer Mark O’Connell.
