Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood teamed up live with the Stereophonics last night (March 23) at their gig in London.
The Welsh band were in the capital playing a Teenage Cancer Trust show at the Royal Albert Hall, with Wood joining the group for a cover of Faces track ‘Ooh La La’, the original of which featured a lead vocal by Wood, as well as their cover of Mike d’Abo’s ‘Handbags And Gladrags’, a hit for the band in 2001. Stereophonics were also joined at the gig by fellow countryman Tom Jones for their 2000 duet ‘Mama Told Me Not To Come’. Watch that beneath.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Ronnie Wood is set to publish an old diary dating back to 1965. Titled ‘How Can It Be? A Rock & Roll Diary’, the book will be released in May via Genesis Publications. The diary entries were written during Wood’s early years as a member of The Birds.
