As per usual, Deerhoof have been on an absolute tear these past couple years. Last year, they put out a new album called Future Teenage Cave Artists and the mangled covers album Love-Lore, in which they covered 43 songs in 35 minutes. Today, the band is announcing their 18th studio album, Actually, You Can — it’s out in October.

Deerhoof: – “Breakup Songs” Video (Stereogum Premiere)
submitted by Nick Jun 4th 2013 07:00 pm (stereogum.com)
Last we saw Deerhoof, they were running around Japan in their video for “We Do Parties.” They’re absent from this clip, the dark visuals for their current album’s title(-ish) track “Breakup Songs.” Instead, a plague doctor visits a town that is afflicted with something that causes an ar...

Deerhoof: – “We Do Parties” Video
submitted by Nick Jan 28th 2013 09:00 pm (stereogum.com)
Deerhoof go a guerrilla promo adventure in their video for “We Do Parties.” Their romp around Japan proves my suspicion that Deerhoof are not just awesome shredders but also probably fun to hang out with. You guys are welcome to play my birthday party any time. Check out the clip below. Deerhoof’s Breakup Song is [...]

Earlier this year of Montreal shared a split-side with Deerhoof, a release that yielded the band’s “Feminine Effects.” It’s a song that has an alternate version where singer Rebecca Cash takes lead, and today of Montreal dropped an official video to accompany that take. Watch their mystic interpretation be...

Deerhoof: – “Mario’s Flaming Whiskers III” Video
submitted by Nick Nov 26th 2012 06:00 pm (stereogum.com)
“Mario’s Flaming Whiskers III” is a jittery, catchy tune from Deerhoof’s new album Breakup Song. and for its video, director Richard Huntington Swanson films an old-timey circus and makes it look as trippy as possible. This might be the first recorded appearance of tough-guy mimes, so take note. ItR...
