A few days ago, Sub Pop posted an intriguing teaser on its website: In a “glorious and career-justifying event,” they’d signed a mysterious new artist, an artist they’d been “HUGE fans of for years.” They also posted a 15-second clip of new music and held a contest asking fans to guess the artist. Most of [...]

Later this month the Notwist will put out Close To The Glass, their first album in six years. We’ve already heard the title track and “Kong,” and now they have shared the Yu Sato directed video for the latter. It’s an animated clip about a man trying to escape a massive flood which eventually turns [...]

Instead, it&#...

We first heard the German ambient crew's "Boneless" over 18 months ago, and its single came with a Panda Bear remix. Grizzly Bear's take on the song is almost certainly as old, but never surfaced. Now it's the b-side to Notwist's new "Come In" and a free MP3 at RCRDLBL.

When you move like a jellyfish, rhythm is nothing. Also, you're an invertebrate. Panda Bear gives the Notwist's The Devil, You + Me-pleaser "Boneless" new bones, skin, muscle, sinew-- pretty much everything-- in this remix from the "Boneless" vinyl-only single. (The Notwist's N.A. tour is just kicking off, btw). This new critter drifts along in ...
