Bummer that the video for "An Eluardian Instance", a song taken from Of Montreal's Skeletal Lamping, is showing now only on Rolling Stone's postage stamp-sized player, but that's what were working with. Back in October, of Montreal created one of the year's most iconic stage scenes when Kevin Barnes sang "St. Exquisite's Confessions" in nothing but gold lame short shorts on the back of a horse. Of Montreal pulled out all the stops on Letterman last night, enlisting their usual parade of fanciful props and costumes from their famously theatrical live shows. Barnes emerges from a curtained litter, decked in regal Prince purples, to perform "An Eluardian Instance" from this year's Skeletal Lamping.[Skeletal Lamping is out now on Polyvinyl]
