Guitarist TIMO TOLKKI, who officially left STRATOVARIUS in 2008 following four years of in-fighting and general chaos within the band's ranks, has checked in with some unexpected praise for his former bandmates: "Just heard two new clips, 'Unbreakable' and 'Halcyon Days', from my ex-bandmates. Elysium isn't bad. It's just not stellar. There are some decent songs, and even discounting the disappointing closing track leaves nearly 40 minutes of solid power metal. It's worth checking out if you're into the style.
