The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has confessed that the reunited Lowestoft rockers are "terrified, but in a good way" about their big comeback performance at Download today (June 10). The reason for this uncharacteristic stage fright? that hostile fans unfamiliar with his band and a clutch of never-heard-before songs could spark a powder keg atmosphere for their first appearance at the festival in five years. Justin has promised to take it in his stride, however. "What we've missed is the daunting-ness," he says. "It's one thing toplay to your fans - and that's an awesome experience - but we haven't done anything for a while that involves hostility!"The band have also announced a full tour of the UK and Ireland later this year. The classic rock revivalists will play:November08 Liverpool O2 Academy09 Edinburgh O2 HMV Picture House10 Glasgow O2 Academy12 Newcastle O2 Academy13 Manchester Academy 14 Bristol O2 Academy16 Brighton Dome17 Southampton Guildhall 18 Birmingham O2 Academy20 Cambridge Corn Exchange21 Sheffield O2 Academy22 Nottingham Rock City 24 Norwich UEA 25 London HMV Hammersmith Apollo December 03 Cork Savoy04 Dublin Olympia05 Belfast Ulster Hall
